June Low has been classically trained in piano since the age of 8. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music from Western Michigan University in 2010, where she studied both classical and jazz under Dr. Stephen Zegree for four years. During her time at Western Michigan University she minored in psychology, which has greatly helped her in understanding childhood behavior and development in a music setting.
Among her performance credits, June has had the great honor of performing at Lincoln Center for the MCP Jazz Festival with the Gold Company and ECU Jazz Ensemble & Friends in February 2010. At this festival, she had the opportunity of a lifetime to work with Peter Eldridge, from “New York Voices,” for the GC II clinic at The Bridge Theatre in New York City. In addition to this she has performed as a piano accompanist at the Portage United Church of Christ in Portage, Michigan. She has also performed at Germania Hall in San Jose as an accompanist.
June has more than 10 years of experience in teaching piano to a wide range of ages, from early childhood learners to adults. Her passion is music and she truly loves teaching music. June always looks forward to sharing her knowledge, patience, and dedication with her students.
